STRAWBERRY SUNDAE 31st Anniversary 24th May 2025
Strawberry Sundae Day Rave 2025: Solo Oldskool Raver’s Experience in Leake Street Tunnels
🍓 Reliving the Rave: My Solo Oldskool Raver Experience at Strawberry Sundae | 24th May 2025 🎶
If you’re a solo oldskool raver looking to reconnect with those timeless dancefloor vibes, then you need to check out Strawberry Sundae — one of the UK’s most iconic oldskool day rave events.
This legendary event first kicked off in 1994, and over three decades later, it’s still bringing the energy, music, and community spirit that made the UK rave scene so unforgettable. I had the absolute pleasure of attending their latest party on Saturday 24th May 2025, and let me tell you — it was a day to remember.
🍻 Solo Raver Pre-Meet: From Strangers to Rave Family
Like many solo oldskool ravers, I arrived in London a little early and joined our solo ravers pre-meet at a local pub just around the corner from the venue. It was the perfect way to break the ice and meet other people who, like me, didn’t want to let being solo stop them from enjoying the rave scene.
Within minutes, we were swapping stories about our first raves in the 90s, favourite oldskool anthems, and the excitement of getting back into the scene as solo ravers. It reminded me just how welcoming and supportive this community is — whether you’ve been raving since late 80’s or ’94 or it’s your first Strawberry Sundae.
🎨 Raving in the Leake Street Graffiti Tunnels
The event was held at the incredible Leake Street graffiti tunnels in Waterloo, London. If you’ve never been, picture a raw, urban underground tunnel covered in colourful street art — the perfect nostalgic backdrop for a proper oldskool day rave.
As soon as I stepped into the venue, the atmosphere was electric. The sound of classic house, oldskool anthems, and rave classics filled the air, while walls covered in graffiti added to that raw, underground vibe we all remember from the 90s. It felt like stepping back in time in the best possible way
🎶 Connecting on the Dancefloor
From the moment the beats dropped, our group of solo oldskool ravers hit the dancefloor together — and from that point on, it was non-stop smiles, moves, and hugs. Whether reconnecting with familiar faces from the Facebook group or meeting new solo ravers who’d come alone, everyone was there for the same reason: the music, the memories, and the pure love of the scene.
The DJs delivered flawless sets of oldskool house, rave anthems, and classic tunes that had us dancing from open to close. The community vibe on that floor was like nothing else — no one cared if you came solo, with a partner, or a crew. By the end of the night, we were all one family.
📱 Join the Strawberry Sundae Oldskool Raver Community
If you’re a solo oldskool raver looking to find your tribe, Strawberry Sundae is where it’s at. It’s one of the rare events that stays true to the roots of the UK rave scene while welcoming new faces with open arms.
The best way to get involved is by joining the Strawberry Sundae Facebook group — it’s packed with event updates, , old photos, and loads of fellow ravers keeping the oldskool spirit alive:
🔥 Final Thoughts
From the solo pre-meet at the pub, to dancing our hearts out in the graffiti-covered tunnels of Leake Street, to making memories on the dancefloor with old friends and new, this was everything I love about the oldskool rave scene.
If you’re a solo oldskool raver thinking about getting back out there, do it. You won’t regret it. Strawberry Sundae is proof that the UK oldskool rave community is still alive, thriving, and ready to welcome you home.
See you at the next one 🍓🎶
